This dad found a whiskey bottle in his daughter's room and responded brilliantly

TEXAS TEENAGER ELAINE was on holidays recently when her parents were tipped off about the location of her secret stash of whiskey. Yikes!

dadcollage Source: Twitter

Her dad sent her a video to inform her of the situation (and give her a chance to get her story straight) – and told her he expected an explanation once she got home.

I don’t know if this is something that fell out of a sock, because it was in your sock drawer.
We heard a news report about people breaking into houses and hiding whiskey bottles, so if that’s the case then we need to call the police.

Elaine posted the video on Twitter, where her dad’s complete lack of chill is currently going mega-viral.

ELAINE GIRL YOU’RE IN FOR IT. Good luck.

Attention, Dublin pizza lovers: a brand new pizza place has just opened on Camden Street

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER new foodie place opening in Dublin.

And this time it’s a pizza place on Camden Street.

Pallet Pizza, from the people who brought you Camden Kitchen, is opening tomorrow night at 87 Camden Street in the premises previously occupied by Frite Haus. (According to their Facebook, Frite Haus closed for good last weekend.)

So, what can we expect from Pallet Pizza?

13578511_1358487434165105_787460465_n

Lots of pizza and lots of pasta.

We’re basically a neighborhood pizzeria. Thin bases, classic tomato and a few biancos. We’ve been working on the idea and bases since last September and it’s involved trips around Italy and lots of good eating.
We’re looking at doing fresh pastas, aranchini, risottos, salumi as well as rustica pizzas for lunch and classic thin-based pizzas for dinner. We want it to be simple and ingredient driven.

All sounds delicious. Let’s take a peak at the menu, shall we?

13563540_1358487477498434_695055717_n

As you can see, it consists of pizza, pasta and unreal desserts. In other words, if you’re a divil for Italian food, it’s your new go-to place.

The restaurant opens tomorrow and will be open from Wednesday – Sunday to begin with. Buon appetito!

EVER LOOK AT photos of yourself when you were a baby and think, “What did my parents put me in?”

This girl is destined to look back upon this photo and ask that exact question.

Last week, Brooke Hawley-Basso collected her daughter when she realised her husband had dressed her in overalls with no t-shirt underneath. A rather hilarious text conversation ensued.

8 reasons why potato waffles are a staple of the Irish diet

AS A NATION we practically subsist on potato waffles, Birdseye or otherwise. It’s time to give them their due.

1. You can eat them with anything

Fry ups, chicken nuggets, fish fingers, eggs, cheese…

They said it in the ad! THEY’RE WAFFLEY VERSATILE (beep boop).

2. They are so freaking cheap

3. And almost too easy to make

Put ‘em in the toaster. Sit down for a bit. Put down the toaster again. Sit down for another while. Get your waffles. Eat.

4. Which means they’ve been keeping students alive for YEARS

Go to any student house and you will find a freezer that is wall to wall waffles.

5. As well as being the first thing every Irish child learns to ‘cook’

6. They’re so beloved that Irish emigrants in Australia started a campaign to get them over

Electric Picnic has made a lovely gesture to the good people of Stradbally

EVERY YEAR, THE people of Stradbally, Co Laois have to put up with festival-goers trekking through the town with their muddy wellies and cries of “ALAN! ALAN!”

Well this year, Electric Picnic is paying them back.

The organisers have donated €65,000 to help build a new football pitch in the middle of the town, featuring a running track, car park, and kids’ play area.

The pitch will primarily be used by the local national school, St Colman’s, to hold matches and activities during term time. Look at them with their big cheque!

School principal Cathal Ruane says they’re all delighted:

We have a huge tradition of sports and activities here in St Colman’s but unfortunately we cannot give our pupils the opportunities they deserve. Electric Picnic is going to make a lasting contribution here in Stradbally… We couldn’t be happier!

Ahh. Lovely.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

Does Tom Hiddleston have a hand-kissing fetish? He has been seen in the sick act of kissing Taylor Swift’s hand several times now, leading many to believe that the whole romance is a sham, because who in 2016 actually kisses someone’s hand without trying to look like something from a bodice ripper?

But wait, it’s not the first time he’s lobbed the gob on someone’s paw.
