People are very confused by these 'fake shirts' Penneys is selling

IF YOU’VE BEEN in Penneys recently (and who among us has not), you might have spotted these things lining the walls.

Six euro for one quarter of a shirt? Has Penneys finally lost the plot?

The ‘fake shirts’ have perplexed quite a few people:

Yes, they look slightly bonkers. But WAIT.

These fake shirts aren’t as ridculous as they seem – they were called ‘dickeys‘ in the olden days, and are worn to get a ‘layered’ look without the extreme warmth that often accompanies it. Fashion!

Personally, we think they’re genius. Bless you, Penneys, for accommodating our love for collars and hatred of sweating.
