REMEMBER WHEN YOU were a kid and you had an arsenal of witty comebacks to standard playground taunts?
Well there was one comeback that all Irish girls loved and used with abandon.
It went like this — if someone called you a pig, you would reply, “That stands for Pretty Irish Girl, so thank you very much!”
See? It’s a flawless shutdown. There’s no coming back from that.
A quick gander at Twitter reveals that it’s still very much in use as well.
Although some find it all a bit cringeworthy.
Our advice? Own it, gals. Pig and proud.
